RYA Shorebased Training Centre

Peter Shaw is a retired airline pilot and holds a Yachtmaster Ocean Certificate commercially endorsed as a Cruising Instructor. He is Principal and Chief Instructor of Shaw2Shore Training. He has been  qualified as an RYA Shorebased Navigation instructor since 2022 and has a background in teaching having  been an Assistant Flying Instructor on light helicopters besides being  a sailing instructor. He is a member of the Royal Yachting Association and the Royal Engineer Yacht Club as well as owning a boat himself . With over 15000 nautical miles of sailing logged, Peter is an experienced yachtsman with a sound knowledge of the navigation syllabus and an Associate of the Royal Institute of Navigation.
